Structured manager / project manager with extensive knowledge and experience from both design and manufacturing.
International experience from around the world and close co-work with mainly China and US. Good understand of cultural differences
With an offset in R&D, extensive experience from tool design and facility design, the 360° understanding of design for manufacturing is strong. Thinking manufacturing into design is key, independent if the product is a component for a wind turbine, a production facility or a process.
Experienced people manager with good skills in creating team spirit and building up teams from bare ground. Informal leadership style, with focus on the individual strength and capabilities to enrichen the team.
I believe in making the individuals stronger through mentoring and giving space. A benefit for both the team and the company.
Ending up at LM Wind Power as structural designer for some of the largest blades back in the 1990s was without doubt a perfect role.
Over the years this evolved and after 3 times having designed what ended up being the largest blade in the world - blades that in today’s scale are small - I ended in roles of more managerial character. Roles as project manager, team lead, head of mould design and head of technology transfer with global design responsibility for new factories.
In the role as chief engineer for composites within Envision's Danish office, I spend 5 years in a very close peer-to-peer relationship with Envision China. As being one of the first 3 engineers within Envision to focus on blade design and being active in supplier qualification, this brought me even closer to the Chinese way of thinking.
Both above roles and my period with Siemens Gamesa, where I had a small sub-team in Boulder US, have given me a good insight into the interesting aspects of working with different cultures.
